Our friend, Eric Holtz, has always been the picture of health—active, hardworking, and full of life. But earlier this week, everything changed in an instant.

After a sudden coughing fit, Eric’s heart went into atrial fibrillation (Afib), causing his heart rate to soar between 170–200 beats per minute. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors ran extensive tests, but no clear cause was found. In the end, they had to shock his heart back into rhythm to save his life.

Eric now faces additional procedures, including a heart catheterization, to determine the underlying issue. We are unsure when he will be released from the hospital. While he is expected to recover, he will be out of work for several weeks, facing both medical bills and lost income.

Eric is the kind of person who is always there for others—whether it’s lending a hand, sharing a laugh, or offering support when you need it most. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.
