Dear friends and family,

We are kicking off a campaign to support Eric Rivet and his family, and we need your help!

You may have heard that Eric had been dealing with excruciating headaches for a week, and on December 29th, he went into the ER to be evaluated and get help managing the pain. Through various scans, they found two large brain tumors. On December 31st, Eric had an operation to perform a biopsy on both masses. The tumor on top of his brain is thought to be benign, less concerning, and not needing to be addressed at the present time. The tumor on the side/back of his head is unfortunately Glioma, a brain cancer.

Once the final pathology results are back in a few days, we will know what grade the Glioma is and what the treatment plan will look like going forward.

At this time, the plan is to undergo a second, larger brain surgery sometime in the coming week. We have hope the tumor will be removed safely, albeit he will still require chemotherapy and radiation to follow surgery.

This will be an extensive and difficult journey for the Rivet family, and we want to support them the best we can. We are hoping to ease the financial burden that they are facing between the steep medical bills, travel, therapies, support for Hunter and Aubree, and any conveniences that are a necessary expense during these next months, including lost wages for both Kate and Eric. Your donation will allow their family to focus on getting Eric to recovery and overcoming this cancer.

Eric is not only fighting for his own life, he is fighting for his family as well. He is a devoted husband and loving father. While this sudden change is scary for Hunter and Aubree, there is comfort in knowing their dad is surrounded by love, prayer and an outpouring of support.
