Help Single Mother Ericka Gonder Battle with Breast Cancer

Hello, my name is Ericka Gonder.

I am a single mother, entrepreneur and salon owner who was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer the day after Christmas 2024. Since my diagnosis I have been a self-advocate who started chemotherapy with immunotherapy in January 2025. This journey has been a struggle and one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face. Along with maintaining my mental health and a positive outlook, the mounting medical builds have begun weighing on me.

As a service-based entrepreneur, I’ve had to temporarily close my salon doors as I go through the ups and downs of chemotherapy. This has greatly effected my ability to support myself and children financially. After chemotherapy is complete, I will have a double mastectomy surgery to remove both breasts. I will also require radiation and reconstruction surgery.

I have reached out to several non-profits and charities whose work centers breast cancer awareness for help. But, they have no funding at this time.

But ultimately, this is why I’m here. To ask for your help. Any amount great and small is appreciated and will help lessen the load as I journey through this life altering diagnosis.
