On Feb 26th 2025 in the evening Erick Martinez was struck by a car while riding his bicycle while crossing the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Travelers Rest SC, at the Roe Ford Rd intersection. You probably know Erick and can attest to what an outstanding person he is, a person of great spirit. Erick has spent more to than 24 hours in the ICU and as of Feb 28th is still hospitalized at Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Erick has many fractures on his body and Face. And some bleeding in the brain. Erick is super strong and on his way to getting better. I’m typing this up so we can lend a fellow cyclist, a human being, an excellent friend a helping hand. As all of you who ride bikes will know, it could have been any of us. Your help will be deeply appreciated.
