From Caregiver to Patient – A Strong Mom In Need

If you know Erica, you know she’s the one who always shows up. She’s the friend who checks in, the mom who makes things happen no matter what, and the one who carries the weight for everyone else without ever asking for anything in return. But now, Erica is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life—and she needs our help.

Erica recently experienced a serious medical emergency involving her eye. After days of telling doctors something was wrong, she was finally seen by a specialist—who confirmed what she already knew: her condition has worsened. She’s been in pain, dismissed, and left to advocate for herself when she should have been receiving care and compassion.

This medical situation has left Erica unable to work for an extended period. She’s a single mom doing everything she can to care for her girls while facing mounting medical bills, childcare costs, and day-to-day expenses. Their father is currently incarcerated and doesn’t contribute financially, which only adds to the burden.
