Hello all,

This fundraiser is for my mom Erica Ledford, she was diagnosed with IGA nephropathy (Berger’s disease) in April of 2008. She has dealt with this disease for so long and it has impacted her life in so many different ways. She became eligible for a kidney transplant and went on the transplant waitlist in December 2025, and was told that it could be anywhere from 6 months to 1-2 years. On 1/2/26 my parents got the call she was matched with a donor. She finally had a long awaited kidney transplant on 1/3/26 and the surgery was successful. Her recovery journey has been challenging as expected, not only has to focus on her physical health but the medical expenses have become a huge burden. She will have to be on anti-rejection medications for the rest of her life, to assist with maintaining her health and this fundraiser will help alleviate the costs as well as assist with additional living expenses since she has retired from hairdressing. Not only my mom but both of my parents are such hardworking people and have never asked for anything. My hope is they will be able to focus on her health without any financial burden.
