Erica Milone is a dedicated and loving kindergarten teacher at the Waldorf School of Garden City. She has touched the lives of so many children by helping to create a warm, joyful classroom filled with comfort, and nourishing food. Erica’s presence brings joy and beautiful memories that will always live in her students’ hearts.

For years, Erica has quietly battled serious health challenges. She has faced continuous health issues due to Lyme disease since childhood, leading to a series of debilitating symptoms, requiring heart surgeries and procedures on her joints and digestive system (crohns and celiac). In 2025/2026, heart conditions, including arrhythmia, hypertension and dysautonomia, has further affected her quality of life.

Lyme is still found in Erica's system to date and most recently requiring oral surgery, to remove the bacteria trapped underneath her gum line which is an out of pocket expense of $16,000. After 25 years of living with these health issues, her doctor has advised that she proceed with this cavitation surgery and then undergo various out of pocket cost IV treatments and testing to support her healing journey.

Erica is not only a wonderful teacher, but also a devoted wife, mother of three, and a caring friend.
