Erica is the owner and esthetician of RESURFACE Skin Studio & Co in Rochester, MA.
Erica had to undergo a major surgery in October called a Posterior Cervical Laminectomy with fusion on C3-C7. This surgery was successful in stopping the progression of paralysis by removing the lamina of 5 vertebrae in her neck and repositioning her spinal cord. However, this surgery has resulted in a slow and difficult recovery. Erica has suffered tremendous nerve and muscle pain, lack of use of her arms, and mobility issues. She is in physical therapy now and although she has made progress, she still has weakness in her arms, mobility restrictions, and pain causing her to not be able to work at the capacity she needs.
She has exhausted all financial aids before asking for help. We are hoping that the community, clients, and friends can come together to help her and keep the studio going.
Any help will ease some of her financial responsibilities so she can continue to heal. These very much appreciated donations will go towards rent, utilities, insurance, licenses, taxes, and other costs of running a business along with copays and other necessary personal expenses.
Erica opened the studio in 2018 when she started having symptoms and needed to be in control of her own workload to help manage her health. Unfortunately, this surgery was a necessity and had to be done without much time for financial planning. Erica hopes to continue to make progress and take clients on a limited schedule during recovery.
Thank you in advance for your support and taking the time to read this. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this and her business page to help support her in other ways.
Erica hopes to be able to provide more wellness services and start up community events again soon.
Thank you!
