Dear friends,

If you know Erica Ruiz, you know that she would give you the shirt off her back. She’d come to your aid at any given moment, but she’s not good at asking for or receiving help (and begrudgingly allowed me to set up this GoFundMe). Now it’s time for us to show her the same love and help that she’s extended over the years.

She "kneeds" our help! She's only got one leg to stand on! Erica had a total knee replacement on October 23, 2023. She finally started to get back on her feet and feel somewhat normal when, on January 28, she had an accident that shattered the femur of that same leg. She now has a titanium knee and a femur held together with a plate and screws. She has a long road to recovery. She will be non-weight bearing for at least another month, then only partial weight bearing. This means no work for a long time, and we all know that disability isn’t enough to cover the bills. Any and all donations to Erica will relieve some of the financial and emotional stress that accompany injuries such as this.

Erica is the most generous, kind hearted person I know. She would literally do anything for anyone. Let’s recognize that and repay the favors that she has done for all of us.
