Hello, I’m trying to help my sister and her family during this difficult time. On July 11, 2023 my sisters world came crashing down on her. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer specifically known as Ductal Carcinoma. She soon had to make many decisions regarding her health. On October 5, 2023 she had a double mastectomy and recovered well we were so happy when the pathology results came back…all the cancer was removed and it did not spread to any other area in her body. Seven weeks later she had another surgery for breast reconstruction. It was then that the nightmare began. During her 15 hour surgery my sister needed 4 blood transfusions to save her life and just days after her surgery she needed an additional 6 more blood transfusions. From that point on she has endured obstacle after obstacle. Unfortunately her breast reconstruction surgery was not 100% successful and she’s had difficulty recovering. She will also require another surgery in January. In saying that she will be out of work for a few more months and could use help with medical expenses. The emotional and physical toll this has taken on her is indescribable. So please if you’re able to help we would be so grateful.
