Support Erica Gurley’s Family in Their Time of Need

It is with great sadness we share news of the unexpected passing of Erica Gurley. On January 23rd, 2025, Erica (38) suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. While attempts were made to resuscitate her they were ultimately unsuccessful and she passed later in the evening. She is survived by her mother, sisters, partner, and two sons - Tyler (15) and Braxton (11).

Erica was a bright spark in this world and a deeply loving human who frequently showed up as a caregiver within her community. Erica's infectious laughter and warm smile lit up any room. She possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and cared for, always offering a listening ear and a comforting presence. Her kind and generous heart was felt by all, and her absence will be deeply felt. Her untimely death has left her friends and family shocked, heartbroken, and unprepared for all that goes along with navigating the loss of a loved one. This loss comes at a particularly challenging time for Erica’s family who are still grieving the loss of Erica’s father, Joesph Gurley, who passed just 5 months prior.

This fundraiser was created to support Erica’s family through this difficult moment. Funds will go towards:

1) Travel, room, and board expenses: to allow Erica’s family to come together, take time from work, find solace in each other, and celebrate Erica’s life.

2) Funeral Service Costs.

3) Moving support for Erica’s partner and ongoing support for the family’s future.
