- On September 16, 2024, a plumbing company failed to complete a job properly, causing Erica and Daisy’s house to flood. While the company started to fix their mistake, they stopped construction and the house has been sitting since. Many things were lost including irreplaceable childhood toys and books. Even though the plumbing company admitted fault, it has been an ongoing legal battle to get the company or insurance to cover the damage appropriately. This has left them without a home, and most of their belongings have been destroyed.
$7,000 of the donations is to help raise funds to professionally clean the home of mold. The remaining $3,000 will be used to replace necessities such as beds, clothing, and housing the insurance companies/plumbing company are refusing to cover.
