Fundraising Appeal: Support Eric Rubin’s Urgent Trip for Uniting for Peace
Hello,
Eric Rubin—one of the founders of People Against Genocide Everywhere (PAGE)—has been asked by organizers in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East to attend two critical meetings to help advance the global struggle for Uniting for Peace. These meetings bring together many key organizers working to mobilize their countries to support a UN-mandated multinational protective force for Palestine.
PAGE is not a formal organization. It is a global confederation of individuals with no dues, no grants, and essentially no budget. Every trip happens only because people who believe in this work make it possible.
Why This Trip Matters
Last July, supporters helped send Eric to Colombia during the Hague Group Ministerial. That trip proved pivotal. Many organizations there had never heard of Uniting for Peace; after meeting with Eric and others, most joined the effort. That momentum helped lay the groundwork for a global movement.
Soon after:
· PNGO, representing over 130 Palestinian NGOs, endorsed the Uniting for Peace proposal drafted by Craig Mokhiber and adopted by PAGE.
· President Petro of Colombia announced he would bring the proposal to the UN General Assembly, where a two-thirds vote can override any U.S. veto.
· Every major liberation group in Gaza publicly endorsed the call for a UN-mandated protective force composed of non-complicit countries and approved by the Palestinian people.
What stands in the way is the U.S. threat of military or economic retaliation against countries that support Uniting for Peace. PAGE has argued from the beginning that the only counterweight is a mass popular movement capable of exerting real economic pressure—through strikes, picket lines, and direct action—so governments must choose between their own people or U.S. threats.
Recent strikes by dockworkers and unions in Spain, Greece, Algeria, and elsewhere show this strategy is not only possible—it is already emerging.
The upcoming meetings in Europe bring together organizers who want to coordinate national-level campaigns to force their governments to support Uniting for Peace. Eric has been specifically invited to help shape this work.
What We Need
We must raise $3,500 in the next four days to cover airfare, housing, food, and local transportation. None of the people doing this work—including Eric—have the resources to fund these trips themselves. If you support PAGE, support Uniting for Peace, and want to help build this global movement, we ask you to contribute whatever you can.
$20, $50, $100, or more—every contribution matters.

A full report will be shared when Eric returns.
