Support Eric Rittenhouse's Stroke Recovery

Seeking donations for Eric Rittenhouse’s medical needs

Eric suffered from 4 strokes in September and is paralyzed on his right side. He can no longer walk on his own and while he is undergoing daily physical therapy at a rehab facility, the out-of -pocket costs of $3000 per week are not covered by insurance. While Eric’s mind is as sharp as ever, as is his speech and hearing, he still requires intensive therapy for recovery. He cannot leave rehab until he can walk and use the bathroom and he is having difficulty even transferring out of the bed without assistance. The funds raised will go directly to:

* His rehab at the facility

* Other medical costs not covered by insurance

* Medical assistance he will require at home when he is discharged.

Eric Rittenhouse has been my friend for many years. We lived across from each other in the freshman dorm at Griffiths Hall at UC Berkeley. Eric is always a memorable charismatic figure in the many hats he has worn- student Senator at Berkeley, Chateau and Barrington coop alum, king Dead Head, and empathetic and helpful psychotherapist.
