Support Eric Mousseau's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
We never know what life will bring us and for Eric Mousseau it’s been one obstacle after another. On February 22,2023 Eric had a heart attack which left him debilitated for some time. Then in September of that same year, Eric became extremely sick and was hospitalized for a very rare liver disease called Primary sclerosing Cholangitis. This disease generally requires a liver transplant when all other avenues have failed. This caused a second pause in his employment. Eric has remained strong and stable up until 3/3/25 when while Eric was at work, he started to feel ill. His co-workers recognized the severity of his symptoms and called EMS. He was transported to Glens Falls Hospital. It was after testing at Glens Falls Hospital, that they realized Eric’s aorta in his heart had a tear so he was life flighted to West Chester Medical Center in Valhalla NY. It was there that he underwent emergency open heart surgery. Eric survived the surgery but remained on life support for a period of time. Due to the risk of bleeding, Eric’s chest remained open to prevent excessive blood loss and he underwent another surgery a day later to close his chest wall. All of these events ultimately saved his life. Eric is now home and recuperating thanks to the many people who acted so swiftly and professionally on 3/3/25; from his co-workers, EMS personnel and the many doctors and nurses in both facilities as well as the life flight crew. We all have obstacles in life but not everyone can financially manage when there are events that cause prolonged hospitalizations and the bills that come along with them. Eric needs our support as he is unable to work while he recuperates. Please join me in helping him and his wife Jen manage with expenses. No amount is too small- all is appreciated. Thank you for your continued thoughts, prayers and any amount/contribution you are able to give. Take care and God bless ❤️
