On behalf of Eric Montoya, we are reaching out to the community for help in his greatest time of need. Right now, Eric has fallen on hard times both financially and physically. He was furloughed from his job on November 17th, just before the holidays, and has fallen behind on paying the mortgage and bills. Eric became significantly stressed and overwhelmed as he worried about how he would make ends meet. This worry compromised his immune system, and he became very ill with Coronavirus at the end of December. The Coronavirus progressed to undiagnosed severe pneumonia, which resulted in him fighting for his life. He was admitted into the ICU, sedated for a week, and placed on a ventilator as his left lung had collapsed. Eric has always been a fighter, and with the help of God, a miracle happened where he managed to pull through.

We are grateful for Eric’s second chance at life. Although he has overcome the fight of his life, there are still many obstacles ahead of him as he continues his road to recovery. Our goal is to relieve some of the financial burden so he can focus solely on healing.

Being a truck driver instructor for many years, we know Eric has touched many lives in a positive way. He always lights up a room with his presence. He is selfless, passionate, and will always help others in any way that he can. He is the type of person that would give the shirt off his back for someone in need. There is no limit that he would not go to for those he loves. Eric has a huge heart to match his personality.

We want to see Eric better and healthy so he can go back to his passion of teaching and driving semi-trucks.
