Eric Mayes, founder of Reflex Mode Self-Defense and Certified Instructor in Martial Blade Concepts (MBC) recently had a serious medical emergency. He was diagnosed with a major infection and has already undergone five surgeries. Presently, he is still in the hospital fighting the infection with antibiotics and will likely have additional surgeries in the future to complete his treatment.

Eric is self employed and his livelihood is teaching self-defense. While he is healing, his income has stopped and his medical expenses are adding up.

As everyone who has trained with Eric knows, he is an incredible instructor and a wonderful human being. I am extremely proud to have him representing me and MBC and want to do everything possible to help him achieve a full recovery and get back out on the mat doing what he does best.
