Help Eric Lundquist Recover After Hit-and-Run Accident
Early this morning, just before 5:00 AM on December 16, 2025, my brother Eric Lundquist was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Lake Forest while walking to the bus stop on his way to work. He was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene.
There were no witnesses to the accident. Thankfully, a man driving by noticed Eric lying in the street and immediately called for an ambulance. That act likely saved his life.
Eric is currently in the hospital undergoing emergency surgery. Among his injuries is a broken acetabulum, which is a fracture to the hip socket—the part of the pelvis where the thigh bone connects. This is a severe injury caused by high-impact trauma and makes it impossible to put weight on the leg. Eric will be confined to a wheelchair for a minimum of six weeks, followed by the use of a walker, and will require extensive recovery and physical therapy.
Eric is a handyman and carpenter, and his work depends entirely on his physical ability. Due to the severity of his injuries, he will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. During this time, he will need help covering medical expenses, everyday living costs, legal fees related to the hit-and-run, and the many unexpected expenses that come with a life-changing injury.
Any donation or share would mean the world to our family. Eric is a hardworking, independent person, and this tragic accident has completely upended his life. Thank you for helping support him as he begins this long road to recovery.
