My name is Gwen, and I am reaching out today to share the story of an extraordinary man, Eric Lee (34), my nephew. Eric is a devoted father to his 2-year-old son, Lucas, a loving husband to his wife, Patti, and a brave military veteran who served 4 years in the service and 1 year in Afghanistan. He is currently battling stage 4 colon cancer caused by exposure to burn pits in Afghanistan.

Eric dedicated his life to serving our country with honor and bravery, putting himself in harm's way to protect our freedom. Beyond his service, he is a loving father to Lucas. Every moment, Eric fights not just for his own life but for the bright future of his little boy and to support his wife, Patti.

In July 2024, Eric received the devastating news that he has stage 4 colon cancer, metastasized. Despite this overwhelming challenge, Eric has faced it with remarkable courage and strength. He has begun treatment at the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, which is known for its expert care and innovative therapies.

The financial burden of medical expenses at MD Anderson, combined with the need for supportive care, has placed significant strain on Eric, Patti, and their family. Every contribution will go directly to covering medical bills, treatment costs, travel expenses to Houston, and ensuring that Eric can focus on his health and spending precious time with Lucas and Patti.
