Support Eric Kinsey's Battle with Brain Cancer
Donation protected
You may know my brother, Eric Kinsey. If so, you know how great of a man and caring of a person he is, always willing to help where he can. Eric and his wife Mary (Mimi) have been dealt a reeling blow, and our family is respectfully asking for your help.
On August 5th, Eric was found to have a tennis ball-sized tumor on the right-front side of his brain. On August 8th, the surgeons were able to remove 95% of the mass, and we nervously waited 3 weeks for the pathology results. Our fears were realized when we learned it's a high-grade glioblastoma, an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer.
Eric will start proton radiation therapy and chemotherapy pills on Tuesday, 10/8, and will go every day to November 18. We're blessed that we live in Lancaster County, which is one of the only places where proton therapy is available. However, it's very expensive, and Eric will be receiving 30 treatments over 42 days.
When treatments are complete, Eric will be wearing a device called OpTune, which has been shown to be effective in stopping the cancer cells from splitting. From that point, MRIs and scans will tell us where the situation is resting.
All money from donations will be used for medical-related expenses. Eric & Mimi and the entire Kinsey family sincerely thank you for anything you can give. Our faith in God is strong, and we'd love your prayers too!
Thank you so much!
