Support Eric Keala Chun In His Fight Against ALS
Donation protected
Please join Eric Chun in his heroic fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Our beloved Eric is 3 years into fighting the devastating disease ALS. The support he's received from his family and friends has been instrumental in promoting his longevity and successful outcomes thus far. Our past fundraising efforts directly financed the medical treatments and therapy expenses that have kept him alive and well during this exceptionally challenging time. It has been a very difficult and expensive road. Eric can no longer swallow and receives all food and water directly into his stomach through a G-Tube. Eric no longer has the ability to lift his arms, or use his hands, and verbal speech is nearly impossible.
At this phase in Eric's progression, most ALS patients have succumbed to the disease, as in the case of his maternal Aunt Bobbie; or are totally paralyzed and breathing via respirator, as in the case of his mother Peggy - Yet Eric is stable walking and breathing on his own. It's a tremendous accomplishment that we are very proud of. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all who have helped us in any form along the way!
Eric is not giving up this fight and we invite you to be a part of our continued efforts to halt and reverse Eric's ALS. We are very hopeful and excited for the next phase in Eric's treatment plan. At the end of September, Eric is embarking on a 3 week intensive treatment at BodyScience in Miami, which specializes in ALS, Medical Chemistry and Molecular Medicine; an area of cellular medicine that targets cellular repair. BodyScience is a comprehensive functional medical institute, which will provide cellular autography and antisense technology specifically designed for Eric. BodyScience has been successful in halting and even reversing ALS in patients from around the world.
This treatment costs tens of thousands of dollars and we are humbly asking for your support in making Eric's dream of survival a reality. This treatment coincides with Eric's 50th birthday, and he has chosen this treatment opportunity as his event to celebrate. In honor of Eric's 50th birthday, we are setting our fundraising goal at $50,000. Thank you again for your continued support, and for the overwhelming love our family and friends have gifted upon Eric. We are enormously grateful and we look forward to updating you on his progress soon.
