My brother, Eric Covington, passed away suddenly from a brief illness early on Monday morning, November 10th, 2025. While he had been battling health issues for several years, we all thought we had much more time with him. So many hearts are broken. We are trying to deal with the idea of not being able to talk with him, hear his laugh, or hear him tell some of his wild stories again.
Eric was a wonderful friend, brother, and son, who touched the lives of everyone around him… and I’m blown away by all the stories I’ve heard over the last few days about all the good he did in this world.
Eric was a man who never asked for much but was always helping others in any way he could… if he didn’t have money to lend, he was always willing to lend a hand, a listening ear, a ride somewhere, and all other kinds of support.
In his last days, he expressed his hopes for a viewing and simple memorial service, prior to his cremation. We so appreciate those who have already donated and will use these funds to honor all of his final wishes. We want to give him the memorial he hoped for, but that his life circumstances and sudden passing didn’t allow him to plan for in advance.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and would be greatly appreciated, allowing our family to focus on grieving and remembering what an amazing human he was.
Thank you for your compassion, support, and love. It would also mean a great deal to us if you could share this fundraiser with others who knew Eric.
