My name is Eric Cho, and I have been in the education field for the last 20 years. In 2023, I found out that I struggle with dyslexia. The dyslexia affects my short-term working memory which causes me to have difficulties in the classroom. For years, I have struggled in my teaching career with lesson planning, keeping up with the pace of the curriculum, and grading assignments in a timely manner.
I just started a master's degree at Grand Canyon University. To be successful in this program, I need accommodations so that I can do well. I need to be tested and evaluated at a clinic where they will provide official documentation of the accommodations I need to do well in school. This documentation will be given to the student disability office so that they can inform my professors of the accommodations that are necessary for me.
This entire process will cost $5000. My medical insurance will not cover any of this cost. I can use any help that you can provide. Thank you.
