Eric has been a huge part of the service industry in Tucson, and many people know him for being an integral part of The Shelter family. He is known and loved by many in this city and that's why I'm asking for your help.

Eric has been dealing with going back and forth to the hospital since January and recently found out he has been diagnosed lymph node cancer. After his first surgery, he was in and out of work for about three months and unfortunately depleted all his savings with cost of living and a significant decrease in income. The major issue he has been having as well is lack of insurance and trying to acquire assistance. The cost for medical expenses out of pocket are astronomical. His next procedure is scheduled for the 18th, and the recovery and additional treatment will require more support than he can manage alone. As of right now it's expected to be about three to four weeks but we won't know more until after the procedure is done.

The majority of the funds raised will go toward medical costs, including the down payment and ongoing treatments. Eric also needs help covering his cost of living—rent, bills, and groceries—all the standard quality of life necessities.

It's tough for him to be away from us and for us to be without him as well. We can take any help we can get even if it's just spreading the word. I know it's a tough ask but even a tiny bit goes a long way. I want one of my best friends and coworker to be better, happy, and healthy. He means the world to a lot of people.
