In Loving Memory of Eric – Supporting Colleen’s Recovery
Hello friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Eric, who bravely battled colon cancer for two years. Eric faced his illness with strength and unwavering love for his wife, Colleen. Even during treatment, he continued working full-time to maintain their health insurance and provide for their future together. His courage and dedication were truly extraordinary.
During this incredibly difficult time, Colleen also experienced a stroke. As a result, she now has aphasia, a condition that affects her ability to communicate. Thanks to extensive therapies, Colleen has made meaningful progress—she is able to speak, although it takes time and effort. She also has very limited use of her right arm and hand, and continues to work hard every day toward recovery and greater independence.
Now, as Colleen mourns the loss of her husband of 23 years, she is also navigating the ongoing challenges of stroke recovery without Eric by her side.
A Tribute to Eric
Eric was so much more than his illness. He was a loving husband, a loyal friend, and a source of strength to everyone who knew him. Known for his dry sense of humor, quiet generosity, and deep compassion, Eric touched countless lives simply by being himself. He worked tirelessly to support Colleen and never wavered in his commitment to their life together—even as he faced a terminal diagnosis.
Eric lived with purpose, dignity, and grace, and he passed the same values on to those around him. His love for Colleen was the cornerstone of his life, and even in his final days, his greatest concern was her well-being.
Though he is no longer with us, Eric’s spirit lives on in the love he gave, the sacrifices he made, and the legacy he leaves behind.
How You Can Help
We are reaching out with this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden Colleen now faces alone. Your support will help cover:

A stable environment for healing and rebuilding
Whether through a donation, a share, or a prayer, every act of kindness makes a difference. Colleen has a long road ahead, but with the support of this community, she won’t have to walk it alone.
