Support Eric & The Iglesias Fam Fight Glioblastoma

Donation protected
The Iglesias/Rendon/Butler/Gonzales lives were changed on May 1, 2020. Our brother ERIC was rushed to the ER, the next day we were told he would be transported to San Antonio, Texas due to a mass they found in his brain. He arrived in SA and within days he had brain surgery, to remove a tumor (the size of a baseball), and his pathology report came back with a diagnosis of Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.  He has lost vision in his left and right eye. His doctor doesn’t foresee Eric will regain sight from his left eye, but we are praying for his right eye to regain vision.  Eric is currently in rehab regaining his strength, so he can undergo radiation for six weeks and chemotherapy for a year. Our Gentle Giant of a Brother is Strong and Courageous, and despite his eyesight frustrating him, he is determined to get better and defeat this diagnosis. We have been taking turns traveling to San Antonio, Texas, since we are from Laredo, so someone is with him as he goes through this process. Our family has an abundance of FAITH and TRUST in God that Eric’s health and vision will be restored. As a Family, we have decided to share this information on social media and begin a GOFUNDME account to assist our family. We will continue to update this page and be transparent in how his donations will assist our family.  Our family believes in the POWER of PRAYER and we ask for continued prayers for our brother, Eric Gabriel Iglesias, whom we care and love so very much. Thank you to family and friends who have prayed, reached out via texts and calls as well as assisted in contributing financially. In our FAMILY NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE.   CURRENT CONDITION DIAGNOSIS: Glioblastoma, Grade IV Cancer (Had surgery on Thursday, May 7, 2020) PROGNOSIS: Begin rehabilitation, which includes PT, OT and Speech. Once Eric is strong enough, he will continue with Home Health Care (three times a week) and radiation (5 times a week) in San Antonio, and start on a chemotherapy pill, which he will take five times a month for a year. FINANCIAL NEED: Temporary living expenses in San Antonio for eight weeks, travel, and medical expenses   Once again, we appreciate your support and we kindly ask if you cannot donate at this moment, please share this link with family and/or friends. Blessings and Love from Nat (Dad), Tonette (Mom), Lillie, Ricky, Jasmine, Sarah, Luis, Faith, Grace, Hope, Marlene and Zach   “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10
