I'm raising funds for a friend in Madagascar, Erckman, who is trying to fund his medical school journey. Erckman is the first in his family to attend college and has been studying general medicine since 2019. He is now starting a honey-selling business to fund the costs of his 2-year internship. His plan is to transport honey from his home region in the southeast (Vohipeno) and sell it in the city where he studies (Fianarantsoa). Any extra profits from the business will be put toward his mother’s medical expenses.

When I lived in southeastern Madagascar in 2018-2020, Erckman’s family treated me like their own. Erckman is the youngest of the family’s six children, and he is a rare type of person--by far one of the smartest, kindest, and most hardworking people I have met in life.

I hope to send the money to him in time for the honey harvest in January. Thank you for your help!
