In Loving Memory of Equannis “King Mixxo” Wright Sunrise: 3/24/1999 Sunset: 6/30/2025 It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved Equannis “King Mixxo” Wright, a talented rapper, rising model, and cherished member of our family and community. Equannis was born and raised in Minnesota, where he developed his deep love for music and creative expression. His journey as an artist and model led him to work with several modeling agencies — one of which brought him to Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was there, tragically, that his life was taken far too soon due to gun violence. The details surrounding his death are still under investigation and will be shared once more is known. During this incredibly painful time, our family kindly asks for privacy as we grieve and process this heartbreaking loss. King Mixxo was more than an artist — he was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and steadfast friend, known for his divine spirit, kindness, and creative brilliance. His music and modeling career were just beginning to take flight, and he touched many lives with his presence, ambition, and light. We are asking for urgent help to assist with the costs of transporting Equannis back home to Minnesota, where he will be resting surrounded by family and loved ones.
