My name is Ashley, and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my fiancé, Enrique Alvarado.

Enrique was first diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) in July 2023. He bravely underwent 8 rounds of chemotherapy, and after a long and difficult year, we were overjoyed when he was declared in remission in July 2024. We were so hopeful, planning our future together while he continued with his aftercare treatments.

Just 10 days after we got engaged this past June, our world was turned upside down. We learned that the chemotherapy treatments had stopped working and Enrique’s cancer had returned. The doctors explained there was no specific reason for the relapse. Sometimes it just happens. His doctors have now planned an aggressive new course of treatment that will include a different cycle of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and ultimately a stem cell transplant.

Enrique is the kind of person who lights up every room he walks into. He is not only my best friend and partner, but also a son, brother, and friend who would do anything for the people he loves. We dream of a future filled with the simple joys of marriage, family, and health, and we are not ready to give up on that future.

We are humbly asking for help to cover the immense costs of his treatments and stem cell transplant. Any donation, no matter the size, means the world to us and brings us one step closer to beating this. Soñamos con un futuro lleno de las alegrías simples del matrimonio, la familia y la salud, y no estamos listos para renunciar a ese futuro.
