Hello! 10 of us from the Endicott Baseball Team are excited to share we are going to serve on the 1:12 Project Mission Trip—a Baseball & Volleyball Sports Camp in the Dominican Republic. This trip is organized by my brothers custom apparel company NOVUS—Latin for “new”—NOVUS is a Christian brand whose mantra, “Claim Your Crown,” is inspired by the verse James 1:12 which says, “Blessed are those who persevere under trial, for having stood the test they will receive the crown of life God promises to those who love him.” The trip, called The 1:12 Project, focuses on hosting a baseball and volleyball camp for children ages 6–20 in Banica, a small village where many families face economic hardship.
Over four impactful days with a chaplain guiding our mission, we will embark on a profound encounter with Christ, using the universal language of sports as our vessel. Each day begins with Mass and Adoration led by a priest, followed by running sports camps, sharing the Gospel through games and conversations, and ending with group reflections and testimonies.
We believe in the power of living a life fueled by passion, conviction, and perseverance. Our mission trip to the Dominican Republic serves as a testament to this ethos, reaffirming our commitment to inspiring others to discover their purpose and claim their crown.
The trip is from January 9-13th and will cost $2,000 per person, which includes all of our airfare, lodging, transportation, meals, and other logistics. We greatly appreciate your support in making this trip possible—whether through financial assistance, spreading the word within the community, or general encouragement.
Attached is a link to a video and article on last year's mission trip to give you a better idea of what we will be doing!
We thank you so much for your support in making this mission possible and know of our prayers for you as we embark on this journey!
In Christ,
Cade Bernardo and Endicott Baseball
