Support Ender's Journey to Recovery

My name is Melissa and I am the lucky mom of Ender. Ender is a normal, funny, rough and tumble kid who loves physical work (like digging a garden or building outside), soccer, rock climbing, and singing.

Three years ago, Ender suddenly lost the use of his legs. He experienced severe pain in his back, migraines, migraine-associated seizures, and vision changes. Recently, he was diagnosed with unilateral hearing loss. Ender has seen every specialist we could get into, but none of them had answers. Ender started all the therapies and eventually, because of some amazing physical therapists and hard work, he got his ability to walk back. Out of all the tests and procedures run, the one that showed up to be of continual concern was his high COVID and high mono levels.

Ender has a wheelchair that comes in handy on those hard days. He has glasses and a hearing aid now. He has a super supportive school. Recently, Ender was accepted into the Long COVID Program at Children's National Hospital in Washington D.C. This program would allow him to meet with an amazing group of specialists who are working on helping kids just like Ender! They have given him an appointment for Jan. 7th, and with this, we would be able to have a plan on how to not only help Ender's condition but a plan to help him be just a regular kid.

If you can help in any way with the cost of getting there and staying for the several days it will take to see all the specialists, it would be the greatest gift you could give our family.
