Support End of Life for Sam

In what feels like a real-life horror, my dad, my best friend, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 15, 2018.  Kindhearted, playful, compassionate, humorous, and "quite the character" are just a few descriptors and observations that encapsulate the quality of my dad.
Despite being drafted, serving his country in Vietnam, being witness to unspeakable and unthinkable traumas, living homeless when he returned from Vietnam (no one wanted to employ a "baby killer"), my dad by some miracle manged to endeavor and find humor in life.  Even more so, he made it a goal to share that humor with others and lighten the burden and hardships that can befall us in life.  Over the years I learned that his time in the army, specifically his tour in Vietnam, had given him a unique, albeit not always pleasant, perspective on life, in particular regard to pain and suffering. Perhaps that is why he sought joy, jokes, and connection with animals and nature; to heal.
There is no amount of gratitude that can replace what my dad lost during his duty in Vietnam, and if I had one wish it would be that my dad, the love of my life, could live another lifetime without the burden he carried as a result of his service.  I have always been and will forever continue to be so incredibly proud and in constant awe of his strength, courage, resiliency, and capacity to love. My dad has always been and will forever be, my hero, my best friend, my rock, my compass and the only one to call me Snookie or Snookems. (I will greatly miss this!)
Eric and I will be taking the very best care of my dad's dog, Bode. We have welcomed him into our fur-family, although the cats are still a bit uncertain about the situation.  It is truly like having a little piece of my dad around to keep us company, snuggle us up and offer comfort.
Funds/donations are needed for end of life, cremation, and memorial expenses.  The sudden, unexpected nature of my dad's passing left me unprepared emotionally, mentally, and financially. Please help me to ensure that my loving daddy's death and celebration of life is one of dignity and peace.  I could say thank you every day until I myself take my last breath and it would not accurately describe my humble heart and gratitude for your assistance in this heart-wrenching, tragic time.
