Hi, my name is Leila Salem, and I’m starting this fundraiser to help Enas, a strong and resilient woman from Egypt who urgently needs our support.

Enas’s life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. With no husband, no children, and having lost both of her parents, she has been facing this battle entirely on her own.

To afford her surgery and initial treatments, Enas sold her car, sold nearly everything she owned, and even took out a loan. She has carried the financial burden alone, never asking for help.

She has now reached a critical stage in her treatment. Her doctors have prescribed targeted therapy — 5 to 8 sessions, each costing 70,000 EGP (over $2,000 CAD). So far, she has managed to save only 15,000 EGP, and her first session is scheduled for this coming Thursday.

Enas applied for government assistance, but her request was rejected because she began treatment at her own expense. She has since reapplied, but the process will take months, time she doesn’t have.

Without starting these treatments immediately, Enas risks losing the progress she’s fought so hard to achieve.
