Funding 4 HAVENtheSeries- Help local artists finish Season 1

On Thursday, October 17, 2024 we held EMMY’S IN THE ELM - HAVENtheSeries Private Screening & Fundraiser at The Lab at ConnCORP. This event was designed to bring the community together to celebrate the 50+ community members, creatives, actors, artists, and collaborators that assisted in the creation of HAVENtheSeries (HTS). During the celebration, community members enjoyed music, refreshments, prizes, vendors, a photo booth, a behind-the-scenes gallery, a screening of HTS, and a talkback with the cast + crew.

We intend to continue the mission of HTS, which is to uplift community members, create support for local businesses and artists, and leave a lasting legacy for artists to come. HTS is born out of New Haven. It zooms in on the life of its community members; it is hope, it is friendship, it is multigenerational, it is faith, it is love. It is more than pizza.

We intend to raise funding to cover costs of this event as well as assist in continuing to film the rest of the series. As a recipient of the Round 1 Artists Corps Grant, we were able to film the first two episodes of this five-episode series, employ over 20 native New Haven artists (videographers, musicians, actors, etc.), and collaborate with New Haven businesses and homeowners to film.

Although the event has passed, we are still some ways away from our goal. Please join us in our mission to uplift the community and give exposure to New Haven businesses and artists through storytelling.
