Emerson Louise Malgieri Titus was born on June 17, 2025 at the Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Quickly following her entry into the world she was diagnosed with a rare type of neuroblastoma cancer. Parents Cassie Malgieri and Andres Titus are currently with Emmy Lou at Mass General in Boston recieving the best care possible.

She has already undergone numerious tests and one surgery. Emmy Lou will be recieving chemotherapy as part of her treatment plan and has a very long road to recovery. Emmy Lou has a talented team of doctors in her corner and has already shown what a fighter she is in the first 11 days of her life.

Cassie and Andres both have worked for many years on Nantucket in the hospitality industry. Andres worked as a chef at the Boarding House, Dune, Oran Mor and most recently at Roasted General Store. Just to name a few. Cassie got her start on Nantucket at Great Harbor Yacht Club and currently a partner in the PPX patisserie where she is always creating delicous treats and tons of cakes. Both will be out of work and living in the hospital with Emmy Lou for the forseeable future.
