Support Emmett's Stroke Recovery Journey

Hello, my name is Beth Coston, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help.

My sister, Jenny Merwin, is married to Emmett, and together they have two college-aged children. I’ve known Emmett since I was just 8 years old (I’m 32 now), and he has always been one of the kindest, most selfless people I’ve ever met. Whether it’s offering what little he has or helping others in need, Emmett has always put others first.

Recently, Emmett suffered a mild stroke and is currently in the hospital. After a 2-3 day stay, he will need to spend up to two weeks in an inpatient rehab facility to focus on speech and physical therapy.

Unfortunately, Emmett works as a contractor and doesn’t have insurance or paid time off. This means that without work, there is no income coming in for their family. My sister, Jenny, is a dedicated private school teacher doing everything she can to support their family, but her job is demanding and the financial burden is heavy.

They need about $7,000 to cover their expenses for the upcoming month, and any amount—no matter how small—would mean the world to them. Even $1 can make a difference.
