Family and Friends,
My brother-in-law, Emmett Hall, has been in the ICU since December 5th. He went to the ER with a lot of pain, and we thought it was related to his need for a hip replacement. As they began to examine him, he was suffering from a staph infection that quickly spread throughout his entire body, causing infections around his heart (very dangerous area), multiple mini strokes, and an aneurysm - by the Grace of God, he made it to the ER just in time to save his life. He has been semi-conscious and slowly making progress, although his condition is critical. As he became more responsive, he was able to say "yes" for the first time on 12/13. He continues to fight and become more responsive each day. Emmett most recently said, “I’m going to beat this”, to my sister last week! This situation could not have come at a worse time as the print business that he worked for almost 30 years closed recently leaving him without a job, no health insurance, and the household income down to one salary. My sister, his wife Charlene, had to step away from her teaching job for the rest of the year to be at his side in the hospital. It's been devastating, scary, and a long journey toward his recovery, but we are a family of Faith and know God is with us. Given the household monthly expenses down to just one salary, daily hospital parking and food costs, and the unexpected future with medicines, physical therapy, hard costs of caring for Emmett, and other unexpected needs, we kindly ask for your support and your prayers. Charlene, their daughter Sophia, and our entire family have a long fight ahead of us, but with all the love and support, we know we can get through this. We are grateful for any support you may provide and share this message with others. Thank you for considering a donation and keeping us in your prayers.
God Bless You,
Jeff, on behalf of the Hall and Cepeda families.
