Support Emmett and His Family

As you probably know, our gentle giant, big-hearted, quick-witted, old-souled Emmett has been very sick. After a few days of mild cold symptoms, he suddenly became very ill with what we now know was bacterial meningitis. He's been hospitalized for two weeks at this point, including time in the PICU on a ventilator. After some very, very scary days, things seem to be taking a turn for the better; E is off the ventilator and making gains, and his family and loved ones are overjoyed seeing him "come back" a little more each day.

If you know Emmett's family, it won't be a surprise that they haven't left his side for a single moment of the past weeks. He has had unending support, and will continue to have it through what is going to be a very long recovery time. This is where we come in.

This is going to end up being a very, very expensive time for the Sunde-Davis family, between extensive medical procedures, weeks in the hospital, follow-up therapies including PT and OT, and a lot of missed work time to care for E. We don't want them to have to focus on that stress while also doing the difficult work of walking Emmett through his recovery. All funds raised will go directly to the family to pay medical bills, cover upcoming procedures and therapies, and help them stay afloat through this difficult time.
