If you know Emmet, then you know how big his heart is and how dedicated he is to supporting and uplifting ALL living beings - whether it’s the 100-something cats that he’s fostered and TNR’d over the years (many from bottle-feeding kittens), random stray animals on the side of the road (for real - I can’t even count the amount of times that we’ve pulled over so that he could hop out and help an animal), or the piles and piles of shirts that he’s screen-printed to support local organizations and important causes. He cares deeply for others, and it’s evident in the number of lives he positively touched during his time in St. Petersburg. All that being said, he’s in need of support now himself.

He was recently diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both hands, which has greatly impacted all areas of his life, especially as it relates to working, creating art, and sleeping. Everyday tasks are a struggle (numbness often causing him to drop things or make it impossible for him to grip/maneuver his fingers), and his constant pain and numbness are relentless.

As an artist and a screen printer (and also just a hands-on, “How can I help?”-type person), not having functional hands has been a huge challenge. Luckily, he has been approved for surgery on his right (dominant) hand soon, with the left hand to follow shortly after. This means he will be out of work for a while, and the financial stress of his necessary recovery time has been hitting hard.
