Hi, I’m Emma Canoles, the proud owner and operator of Emma’s Tea Spot in Hamilton, MD. This November, we’ll be celebrating seven years in business, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the love and support from our amazing community. Emma’s Tea Spot isn’t just a café; it’s a place where friends gather, traditions are honoured, and new flavours bloom. It’s where I’ve poured my heart into creating a space that feels like home.

But right now, we’re facing some tough choices. The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic hit us hard, and though we’ve fought tirelessly to stay afloat, the weight of loan repayments, rising costs, and a dip in sales this year have brought us to a crossroads. With our resources depleted, we need a helping hand to get through this rough patch and keep Emma’s Tea Spot alive and thriving.

It was a GoFundMe campaign that first helped us bring Emma’s Tea Spot to life, and now, I’m reaching out once more to the community that believed in us from the start. We need your support to help us get over this hump and continue serving you, our beloved customers, with the warmth and dedication that you’ve come to expect.

Our Vision:

I have big dreams for Emma’s Tea Spot, and they’re all rooted in giving back. I want to introduce local and native plant medicine teas to our menu, bringing the natural healing properties of our region to your cup. I’m also committed to renovating our beautiful, historic space to reflect the charm and spirit of its past, especially in honour of a very dear friend and mentor who recently passed away. He was the beloved owner of this building, a true guardian angel for the community, and I want to honour his memory by restoring the shop's curb appeal and keeping this corner vibrant and alive.
