Support Emma's Leukemia Journey

We are a community in London, Ontario that has come together in support of our

dear friends and neighbours, Chris and Amy. Their 11- year- old daughter, Emma, was

diagnosed in March of 2023 with a rare form of leukaemia called acute lymphoblastic

leukemia - ALL.

Emma is in the beginning stages of what will be a 2-2.5 year journey. The first 8-12

months are the most intense, with the primary goal of bringing her into remission, and

includes multiple phases of harsh chemotherapy treatment.

This fierce and determined young lady has braved everything that has been thrown at

her in recent months and keeps her spirits up as much as possible. Emma has been

fighting this disease with everything she's got, and, in the coming weeks, the whole

family will be faced with yet another challenge.

In September, Emma will be heading to Toronto to Sick Kids hospital for a Bone Marrow

/ Stem Cell Transplant. This next phase will be a very difficult process, physically,

emotionally, and logistically for Emma, as well as for Amy, Chris, and

Emma's younger brother Alex. Faced with unexpected expenses, coupled with

the time off work required to provide round- the- clock care, the family is heading into

this part of the journey in an incredibly difficult position.

All funds raised will go directly to the family to assist with unanticipated medical

expenses, as well as to help them transition back home once the immediate treatment

plan has completed. By coming together as a community and contributing to this

fundraising effort, our goal is to help ease the family’s financial burden so they can focus their energy on battling this terrible disease.

Though the road ahead is long and filled with uncertainties, with your help

we can assist Amy and Chris with every day living expenses, as well as keep

some sense of normalcy in the lives of Emma and Alex. Every little bit helps, so please
