Hi friends, family, and supporters,
I have some exciting news to share — I’ve been given the honor of representing North Dakota at the Miss Volunteer America National Pageant this June in Jackson, Tennessee!
While I don’t come from a traditional pageant background, I’ve been given this opportunity because of my passion, my voice, and the belief others have placed in me. With the help of some incredible mentors and community members, I’m taking this bold step not just for myself, but for the message I want to share with women across the country.
My platform is called “Live! Be! Do!”
It’s about building real confidence through real action — whether that means taking care of your body, reading the book you keep putting off, applying to school, helping your neighbor, or simply doing the hard thing even when it’s uncomfortable. I believe small steps can lead to powerful change, and I want to encourage women — especially those who don’t always feel seen — to live fully, be who they are, and do things that challenge them.
That being said, competing at the national level comes with expenses like travel, wardrobe, coaching, pageant fees, and preparation materials. While I’m working hard in school and teaching voice lessons to support myself, I can't do this alone — and that’s why I’m asking for your support.
Here’s how you can help:
• Donate whatever you feel moved to — every dollar counts.
• Share this with your network, especially if you believe in lifting up women chasing their dreams.
• Cheer me on, follow my journey, and spread the message of "Live! Be! Do!"
This isn’t just about a crown. It’s about becoming the kind of woman who can use her voice to make a difference. I’ve always wanted to help people who feel stuck — who think change is out of reach — and I hope this journey allows me to continue becoming a voice for them.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Let’s show them what North Dakota is made of!
With gratitude and courage,
Emma Bachman Miss North Dakota Volunteer 2025
