Even the toughest people need support and I’m here to tell you about her. I met Emma back in our senior year at Franklin High School, where I saw her dedication and work ethic first hand. Emma is the kind of person you want by your side in good times and bad. She’s tough, humble, and always manages to find light in the darkest places. But right now, Emma needs us to show up for her.

Over the past few years, Emma has faced an overwhelming series of medical battles. She was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, leading to multiple surgeries between 2019 and 2024. Complications spiraled — a blood clot and pulmonary embolism landed her in emergency surgery, where her heart stopped for a minute before she was revived. She now lives with POTS (a chronic condition that affects her daily functioning), all while trying to recover physically and mentally.

Despite everything, Emma continued working through much of it, rarely taking time off. But life has dealt another heavy blow: just as she and her partner purchased their first home and discovered they’re expecting their first child, she was unexpectedly laid off despite being 7 months pregnant.

Years of medical bills have drained her savings, and with a baby due in a couple of months, the need for stability is greater than ever. This fundraiser will go toward covering essential living expenses and medical expenses, giving Emma the breathing room she needs to focus on her health, her recovery, and preparing for motherhood.

Emma has always been a fighter — but even the most resilient people need someone to fight for them. With your support, we can give her the stability and peace of mind she deserves as she begins this next chapter of life.
