Emma Meline is our kind, sweet, tender-hearted, and hilarious little girl. On December 21st, 2025, she started having symptoms that concerned our pediatrician. She was immediately sent for testing and biopsies. She has since been diagnosed with bone marrow failure and severe aplastic anemia. She has been in and out of Salt Lake Primary Children’s Hospital, on the Immunocompromised Services Unit to receive life-saving care.

With Emma’s extremely rare diagnosis, even the smallest of sicknesses can become fatal very quickly, with fevers and complications resulting in extended hospital admissions. Emma is the strongest little girl we know, being so brave while awaiting genetic testing to find answers. Emma’s parents and 4 siblings are being tested to find out if any will be a match to be her donor for her bone marrow transplant.

Of course, with all of these long hours in the hospital and many tests, medical expenses can become overwhelming very quickly. Many have been asking how they may help, and while she is severely compromised and cannot receive visitors, treats, or outside gifts, any monetary contributions are appreciated and will go towards covering her medical expenses and care.
