Emma, who is only 16, is my best friend's daughter. She was recently diagnosed at stage 3 with a rare type of ovarian cancer. This virtually never happens in her age group, and unfortunately, she has a long, difficult road ahead of treatment and recovery. She already has endured 2 surgeries and will need chemotherapy. Words cannot express how devastating this diagnosis is to her family and friends.
