Hello, my name is Emmanuel Solomon. As a performing musician, composer, and educator, I have seen firsthand how music holds a subtle yet profound power to influence our lives, uplift our spirits, and shape our decisions.
I am launching this campaign to fund a live video and audio recording project of my original compositions and arrangements. My work is a reflection of who I am—bridging my classical training with my African heritage, and rooted deeply in my Christian faith. My ultimate goal is to share this music to uplift others.
My Project
This year, I am taking a major step to bring these pieces to life through high-quality live recordings. I am doing this to foster community, unity, and faith, and to preserve these works for posterity.
To achieve this, I will be recording live with soloists, a choir and orchestra. The repertoire for this project includes four specific pieces:
• Sufficient Grace [He who calls all the stars by name]: Scored for voice, piano, organ, and string quartet.
• Amazing Grace: Featuring 3 vocal solos, choir, and orchestra.
• A Medley of 5 Nigerian Christmas Songs: Featuring 3 vocal solos, choir, and orchestra.
• How Deep the Father's Love: An unaccompanied vocal arrangement (SSAATTBB).
The Logistics & Budget
To make this project as financially efficient and impactful as possible, I will be recording at a recital hall in Lagos, Nigeria. Producing the project in Lagos allows me to collaborate with incredible local musicians and skilled sound/video engineers at a fraction of what it would cost elsewhere.
The total estimated budget to bring this vision to life is $6,000 – $7,000 CAD.
This breaks down to approximately $1,500 – $1,750 CAD per song, which fully covers the cost of venue rental, musicians, videography, audio engineering, and post-production.
