Emily's Road to Recovery After Traumatic Brain Injury
Donation protected
Since the devastating motorcycle accident on June 14, our beloved Emily has undergone multiple major surgeries. On her first day in the hospital, she had a craniectomy to relieve pressure on her brain and was sedated to control her pain and allow her to rest. Once her brain pressure stabilized, she received a tracheostomy and feeding tube so doctors could begin waking her safely.
Most recently, she underwent surgery to repair a fractured wrist. Thanks to the incredible skill of her medical team, her own fierce determination, and the unwavering love and support from family and friends, she is making truly remarkable progress.
Right now, Emily is facing one of the most difficult phase of recovery from a traumatic brain injury. She is opening her eyes, smiling with recognition, and even trying to mouth words. These are huge milestones—but they come with immense challenges.
She tires quickly, experiences significant pain, and is understandably confused and agitated. Her instinct to fight—which helped her survive the worst—now makes it harder for her to rest and heal. It's a delicate, exhausting stage, and we’re asking for continued thoughts, prayers, and positive energy for her peace and safety as she navigates this part of her recovery.
Your donations are helping cover medical expenses, support her five children, and relieve the financial burdens this journey has placed on our family. We are beyond grateful for every share, message, and contribution.
Thank you for walking this road with us. Your support means everything.
