Support Emily's Long Road to Recovery

My name is Linda Howell. I’m writing this on behalf of a good friend who I’ve known for over 30 years.

Andy and his wife Emily both were coworkers with my late husband Glenn. This past Sunday, November 3, 2024, while driving into work, Emily’s car was struck from behind on the 202 in what was a chain reaction horrific accident. The vehicle that struck Emily’s vehicle left the scene of the accident. Emily and another driver (who happened to be a coworker of Emily), Rachel, both got out of their cars but subsequently were both struck by a third vehicle. This resulted in Rachel losing her life and Emily suffering massive traumatic injuries. Emily underwent approximately 7 hours of surgery to repair numerous broken bones and internal injuries. Currently, she has been on life support and is unresponsive at this time. She does not appear to have any brain injury but has sustained enormous trauma to her body and will take a very long time to recover from these injuries.

The medical, surgical, and rehabilitative treatment that Emily will need comes with huge medical expenses. That is why I am asking for donations to help this family with insurmountable medical expenses. PS: This afternoon, Emily was able to breathe on her own for about 30 minutes, so things are moving in a positive direction!!!
