I'm reaching out with a heavy yet hopeful heart, asking for help for my sister, Emily, and her family as they face one of the most difficult challenges of their lives. Fifteen months ago, Emily, her husband, and their daughter made the brave decision to leave Texas and start a new chapter in New Jersey. They worked so hard to rebuild their lives, saving up with the dream of buying a home and creating a stable future for their family. But just as they were beginning to get settled, Emily received the heartbreaking diagnosis of breast cancer. Since then, everything has changed. The medical bills have already wiped out their savings—savings they had worked so hard to set aside for a home, for their future.

Now, as she begins her journey through cancer treatment, Emily will be unable to work for at least two months. She’s only just started a new job, and without any paid time off, she won’t receive an income during this time. The bills are already piling up, and without any financial cushion, Emily and her husband are feeling the weight of this on top of everything else. They’re doing their best to keep up with day-to-day expenses, but it’s becoming overwhelming, and they need help. They’ve always tried to stand on their own, but the truth is, they can’t do this alone.
