Family displaced by house fire

Hi, my name is Emily, I live with my boyfriend and his parents, and last night our home burned down.
This fundraiser is to help me, Emily Kettering, my boyfriend, Kevin Lariva, and his parents, Fernando and Marlene La Riva—my second family.
On April 13th, 2025, a fire tore through our home in the middle of the night. We ran out in our pajamas with no shoes, watching firefighters try to save what they could. Our kitchen, back patio, hallway, and ceilings were destroyed, and the rest of the house is covered in smoke and soot. Most of our belongings—clothes, shoes, electronics—are either burned or unusable. Insurance is currently only covering three nights in a hotel, and we don’t know where we’ll go after that. Repairs may take up to a year.
If you know me, you know I hate asking for help. It feels weird writing this message but we are truly at a loss for what to do now.
Funds will help us with:
• Potential need for temporary housing if insurance doesn’t cover
• Essential clothes and toiletries
• Food and daily needs
• Starting to rebuild a daily routine
